Hey guys, it’s Ro! Welcome to another Nerdy Nummies! Or I probably should say a new Nerdy Nummies! Because some of you may notice that there’s something a little bit different about my kitchen, we have new countertops! The old countertops were old and busted so I finally replaced them and I am loving it! We also built some additional storage space for all my baking stuff, so, I’m kinda like, on cloud 9 today! So I apologize in advance I got so many requests from you guys to do something Big Hero 6 related and I absolutely love this movie

So today, we are gonna be making something Baymax, we are gonna be making Oreo Pop Baymax’s Let’s get started! These Oreo pops are super easy mode, the things you will need, will be: Mega Stuffed Oreos, you can also use double stuffed, or regular, but I thought it would be cute because Baymax is so fluffy! So the fluffier the better, I got the mega-fluff! And then you’re also gonna need some black decorative icing, and I’ve just put a number 2 tip at the end for more control And then to decorate, we’ve got a bunch of M&M’s, and Mike & Ikes, and then to dip them, we’ve got red and white candy melts The red ones are flavored like vanilla, and the white ones are flavored like marshmallow! And last but not least we have some lollipop sticks Alright, let’s put it all together! The first thing that we’re gonna do is heat up our candy melts, you can pop these in the microwave, but I just got this at Michaels, it’s a candy melting pot, so, I’m gonna give it a go! Just pour ‘em in here, doo-doo-doo! And start melting the chocolate! Now that our candy melts are melted you’re going to take a lollipop stick and dip just the tip in there

And then you’re gonna take an Oreo and place the lollipop stick in the center, just like so The candy creates a little base so that the Oreo will stay up on your pop! And then you’re gonna do that to the rest of your Oreos! Got our Oreo Pops assembled, and now I’m gonna pop ‘em in the fridge for about 5 minutes to set and to chill, and while they’re chilling, we’re gonna cut our Mike & Ike’s in 1/2, and I’ll show you how to do that We’re gonna be doing them the hot dog way, not the hamburger way! And, just a reminder, if you’re using 1 of these things, leave it on, because we’re gonna come back to it in 5 minutes To decorate, we are gonna cut a bunch of Mike & Ike’s in 1/2 and like I said, we are gonna be cutting them the hotdog, the long way, not the hamburger way So, a Mike & Ike like this, hotdog way is up and down, vertical, and hamburger is horizontal

Here is the base of the Mike & Ike, and here is the top, and we’re not really gonna cut the base, but we’re gonna go diagonal up until the top And there’s always a little bit extra, om! So it’s a treat! Just took the Oreo pops out of the fridge and now we are going to dip them into our white candy melts Helpful side note, you’ll want to take a lollipop stick and puncture your holes before you place your pops in Otherwise they shake all around and it gets a little crazy! So, this 1 has lots of holes, but I’m just gonna add a few more! Just in case! Just give it a poke! Dipping these is super easy All you have to do is go straight down, and then tilt to the side, side, side and side, kind of like a joystick! And then slowly pick it up, let the excess candy drip off, I give it little taps

And if the back side is a little messy, that’s OK! We’re not gonna see it! Baymax only has 1 side of a face… Then you’re gonna place him in 1 of these pre-made holes over here Now that we have all of our pops dipped, we are going to attach candies to 1/2 of them to make armored Baymax! So for armored Baymax, what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna take a little pop, and you’re gonna take a little M&M, and you’re gonna put a little bit of candy melt on the M&M, doo-doo-doo-doo-doo! This will act as a glue And now, you’re gonna stick the M&M about 1/2 way, roop! Right in the middle And you’re gonna have to hold it there until the candy dries And you're gonna do it to both sides

And the next step is you’re gonna take the Mike & Ike that we cut in 1/2, at a diagonal angle And again you’re gonna take your little toothpick, dip it in your candy melt, put a little bit here on the backside, and you’re gonna place him right above the M&M, then you’re gonna do that to the other side Da-dew! Now you’re gonna do this to however many you want, I’m gonna do 1/2 of them We’ve got the candies attached and now we’re gonna pop these ones, with the candies, the freezer for about 10 minutes to set, and then we’re gonna dip ‘em in some red candy melts Om-nom-nom-nom-nom-nom! And the other 1/2, we’re gonna set them off to the side because we’ll be decorating their faces soon enough

Now we’re gonna dip our armored Baymax pops, which are the ones with the candy on them So, over here, we have melted our red candy melts and they’re ready for dipping So I’m just gonna go straight down, and again to the side, other side, and then straight up There we go! Oh, my gosh! And then you’re gonna let the excess candy drip off in the back Look at that, looks just like him! Now we are gonna decorate the white pops and we’re gonna let the red pops set for awhile

So you’re gonna take your little white pop, dew-dew! The normal Baymax face I’m just gonna place it down And then to decorate his face, it’s really easy, because he has very simple facial features You just need to make 2 dots and connect ‘em So I’ve got some black decorative icing with a number 1 tip

A-boom! A-Baymax! Our red Baymax’s have had plenty of time to harden and now we’re gonna decorate them, make little faces So I’m just gonna place 1 down like this, and then I’ve put some white candy melt into a plastic bag with a number 2 tip for a little bit more control And I’m gonna trace on the opening of his helmet And then you’re gonna fill it in, doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo! I’m using a toothpick to connect all of my white melted candy And then I’m gonna do that to all of the rest of the armored Baymax’s and then draw the eyeballs like we did before! Da-da! Here are the Baymax Oreo Pops that we made today! Thanks you guys for suggesting something from Big Hero 6, I love that movie, and these are adorable! They were so fun to make! These are a great idea for a little party favor, they’re just a bit sized yummy! Om-nom-nom-nom-nom-nom-nom-nom! I’ll be posting lots of pictures on Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram and Twitter!
